Shipping and Delivery
We make every reasonable effort to process and ship orders promptly. Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to carrier delays, weather conditions, holidays, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Once an order has been accepted by the shipping carrier, Guatemala Trading Company is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier. Customers are responsible for providing an accurate shipping address. We are not responsible for orders delayed, lost, or misdelivered due to incorrect address information provided at checkout.
Risk of loss and title for products pass to the customer when the order is delivered to the shipping carrier.
Warm Weather Shipping
Chocolate and other heat-sensitive products may soften, melt, or develop cosmetic bloom during transit, particularly during periods of hot weather. While we take precautions such as insulated packaging, ice packs, and adjusted shipping schedules when appropriate, we cannot guarantee that products will arrive without signs of heat exposure.
Cosmetic melting or bloom does not affect the safety or quality of the product and is not automatically considered damage eligible for refund or replacement. If your order arrives with significant heat damage or another shipping-related issue, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and include photos of the product and packaging so we can review the situation and determine an appropriate resolution.
